Nowadays, there are many methods to connect to the internet. ADSL connection using the the ethernet protocol was the easiest to connect. So far the several Huawei devices gave me the most of the headache. I have tried two of them; one from Zain, Bahrain and the other from Mobily, Saudi Arabia.
For me, the easiest method to connect to the internet is using wvdial from the command line. Here is my /etc/zain.conf:
Many people get the passion to do something. It feels like a surge. With full enthusiasm and great commitment, they start the project, any type of project.
But over the time, the blood cools down. And the passion dies. And the number the project stops.
Not in the Filipino Toastmasters Club. Since its formation seven years ago, the club has been meeting continuously every week. Yes, we had our ups and downs. Yes we face troubling times. And yes we people come and go. But the club still exist.. strongly.
This is a very interesting time for all Drupal users and CMS users in general. This new release includes lots of neat features that will make both the administrator and general user much easier. In addition to this, it has lost of new technologies that will keep Drupal in lead of other CMS. I will start porting some of my sites to Drupal 6.0 very soon. But since I relay on some contributed modules in my others sites, I will wait for them to be ported first before porting my other sites.
It is the Hijri new year again. Many Muslims (Sunnis) celebrate the day believing that it is the day where the prophet Mohammad Left Makka To Madina, and started the first islamic government. While others believe that this movement, Hijra was not on this day, this is irrelevant. The fact is there is a more important event occurred on this month.
Since I started learning about computers in very early 1990s gaming have been an integral part of my computer experience. Although I occasionally played action games since the the original Doom era, Strategy and Adventure games where my passion. In fact, they played a big part in improving my English through reading all the lengthy dialogs.
The last two posts.. and this one, are made in my brand new, first time ever, notebook. Yes, I finally did it. I have been delaying this for ages but the time has finally arrived.
The first thing I did was to wipe the Windows from it. Then I started installing Debian Linux.

Most of the people I know do not know anything about Burma, and many of those who know something do not care about what is happening there. In fact
I've heard some say: they deserve what is happening to them, they have been suppressing muslims for long, it is about time that they taste from the same medicine.
But for Me, I care. Regardless of the treatments the muslims are receiving there, what is happening there is not right. Two wrongs do not make right.
